My interest in drawings started when I was in pre-school. I had a teacher named Miss San Pedro who was very good at drawing objects and animals on the blackboard using color chalks. Somehow, admiring her work did inspire me make my own drawings instead of letting mom create them for me. Like most fine artists I knew, I started drawing matchstick people. Later on, I started copying drawings from those local comics my mom sold in her small sari-sari store.

Right after high school graduation, I did not enroll in a fine arts school because of financial difficulties. So I went straight to a publishing house where I presented sample drawings I tore from the back of my notebooks. After a year, I got my lucky break and I started my first job as an illustrator where I met a bunch of artists who helped me improve my skills. The rest is history.

These are some of the surviving pieces I made from 1993 to 2006. I lost some of my works to those frequent transfers from one house to another.
