Card-making: A new hobby

I have just started investing on a Canon Pixma printer and a couple of art materials for card-making – watercolor, that cutting pad, a couple of brushes and some textured paper. It was really tempting to buy scrapbooking supplies, but then I thought, the work wouldn’t be considered an original. I prefer something that people would recognize as original work, not just a mash-up of things that others could be using already. Not to mention I need to cut cost, and yes, save the earth.

This was something that has been eating up my brains since the second quarter. I liked the inspirations I read and saw in the magazines. The challenge though lies on the output. But I remain confident that I can do it BETTER than them without relying too much on pre-made templates and embellishments, and be able to market it well, if I give it time.

Work starts today. And then during the holiday break.
