A lot of things are going on these past few days. Yes, I know I have not grown fangs yet (but we’re getting there). I won’t be in some place either (until mid of next year). Let’s say situations will be a lot different come 2010.
Change is what people do when they hit some sort of plateau that offers different directions to take. One of these days I might decide not to take the jeepney anymore, because a car might be better. I might even trade off my jeans for free-flowing dresses, grow my hair long, bleach myself, travel more, get rid of those dark circles by getting more sleep…Life is short. And that, my friend, is a reality.
This site has been running for almost three years. This has been my online laboratory where I learned gazillion of things about the web. It was a profitable experience (pun intended) so no way I’m closing this down. There will be some sort of “reprogramming” in the days to come.
It has been a VERY busy last quarter for me…and I’m already at my wit’s end. While I love the things I do on a daily dose, somehow I realized the need to escape from routine would do me more good. In other words, I need to distract myself from overwhelming mental and physical tasks. Aside from sleep, I need to go somewhere. My uncle Bloody offered his house up in the mountains for my weekend getaway. Hmm. I’ll think about who to bring there. Or maybe I’ll just stay at home and do something productive, like planning for the next year. (Weee!)
I’m down to my last list of Christmas shopping. It wasn’t really a long list. I managed to cut it down to half since most of my inaanaks are far and away, and I couldn’t locate the others. My friends are not that difficult to please either. I bought myself a nice black blazer last week, a pair of Nike cross-trainers (so I can start running), a watercolor pad (because I plan to paint…again) and Max Lucado’s book called “Fearless” which is I can’t find locally (maybe I have better chances of finding it online and go through those Amazon books as well). I also received my Christmas gifts earlier: a laptop case and a bag. Sweet.
I’m scheduled to take a break from work on Dec. 23rd and will be back Jan. 4th. That’s a whole lot of time in my pocket. Can’t wait.
March 13, 2010 is the tentative schedule of the ultimate dream fight between the two pound-for-pound kings, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao. No particular details on the venue yet. But it seems that they are choosing between MGM in Las Vegas and Dallas Cowboys in Texas. Both have also agreed to a 50-50 split on the huge income expected from this match.
Of course, Mayweather Sr. and their promoter, dela Hoya’s Golden Boy, have been looking forward to beating the crap out of Pacman. It could be out of fear and need to exact vengeance over an opponent who has been beating down Mexicans and Puerto Ricans in the last two years or so. Lil Floyd’s dad, who also happens to be his own trainer too, was confident that his son will prevail over this fight: “Pacquiao could never beat something that came out of me”. By this time, the old Mayweather should realize that he has just pitted himself up against an entire nation of 80M plus Pinoys who want his head now on a plate.
Three more months to go before the mega fight hits the screens, giving me more time also to check around for rackmount lcd.. At stake is the WBO title. Who will take it home?
