Last day of 2009

I’m ending the year with this:

Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) on my screen. This is one of the most wonderful artistic creations God has made. If there would be a wish to make, it would be a trip up north Scandinavia, Alaska or the Arctic during winter.

I’m on my Day 7 of my holiday break. It’s been a wonderful week of full sleep, food, movies, internet-lurking, and short trips to the mall and Tagaytay. It wasn’t that cold the past few days; the noonday sun was acting like a Ladybug steam. We’ll be somewhere in Eastwood tonight for the New Year’s Eve countdown. Year 2009 was full of ups and downs.

Oops. Phoenix Suns vs Boston Celtics on TV now. Go Nash them!!!

Joyeux Noël

It has been a tough year for almost everyone.

True.

Few companies had their Christmas parties. Either they gave their budget to Ondoy flood victims, lost much of it from recession, or they simply went out closing their businesses.

You can never really tell when or where bad luck will strike. Life is never predictable. You can’t see a reflection of it on shiny glass tiles nor peek through Madam Auring’s crystal ball.

Things just happen. Good or bad.

Joyeux Noël.

Merry Christmas

My inbox has been receiving all sorts of greetings from almost everyone I know. Including companies I affiliate myself with – from NBA Topps to Joe’s jeans. This one is from Google paying it forward by helping a number of charities around the world. It has indeed been a tough year for everyone.

Every Christmas for me is merrier, never mind the Ondoy floods that drowned my desktop computer and all of my books two months ago. People are always bound to lose something along the way. That is the reality of our existence. What matters is how we pick ourselves up after a tragedy. God is good.

From me and my cats, have a merry Christmas :)
