Pacquiao becomes 7-division world champion

Pacman has made another world record with 7 division titles

This was yesterday. Pacman has made another world record today with 7 division titles.

With his recent victory over Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico, Manny Pacquiao cements his title as pound-for-pound king and adds another page in boxing history. He is the first fighter to win world titles in seven divisions. Floyd Mayweather has every reason to quake on his knees.

It was simply awesome. Such greatness brought the Philippines back to the map again on a very positive light. Not to mention that every Pacquiao fight cleanses cities of crime, filth and traffic. People flocked down to public viewing venues, stayed glued to their TV sets and searched for every free telecast online. Sooner or later, Pacquiao vs Cotto will be in bluray discs. Boxing fans you go watch out for it and applaud Cotto for his spirit no matter how bloody it turned out to be for him.

Sesame Street, as you all know it, is celebrating 40 years in the business of entertaining and educating kids. Like most of people who were born in the 70′s, I grew up watching every episode on our black and white TV set. Now, decades later, Big Bird and company have just conquered Google.

Those nice graphics you see on Google page everyday are now available in nice Google shirts. And it’s free. But on one condition that you buy any of Sesame Street’s 40th Anniversary products. They ship to almost everywhere in the world so just prepare additional $20 to $30 to pay for the courier. They accept Visa, Mastercad and Discovery. No Paypal. (I have to wait for three days to transfer my funds to the bank. I just hope the bank is done with their online backup after those nasty breakdowns wrought by October typhoons. I want the shirt!!!)

Pacquiao vs Cotto: Who do you think will win?

pacquiao vs cotto

I’m not sure. But if you’d go around the web to search for public opinion, everyone seems to go for Manny Pacquiao and leaves Miguel Cotto’s fate at the mercy of the Pinoy champ and the judges.

Here are the reasons why Pacquiao might rule on this one again:

Speed
Stamina
Wit
Strong left (which, they say, could send one to the cemetery)
Strong right (lands you to the hospital)
Amazing footwork (That’s what you get after a prolonged exposure to “tinikling”. Weh!)
Boxing genius Freddie Roach
Focus
Determination
Discipline
Support of 90+ million Filipinos (Yes, that includes even babies and outlaws.)
Aling Dionisia

Of course, we really can’t tell. There might be another case of bad socks, low blows, head butts and whatnots. But let’s hope the fight would end fair and square.

And I want to find what you think of this fight before we all troop down to the cinemas, restaurants and public viewing centers near Kettlebell stores. Join my Pacquiao vs. Cotto poll below and tell us why.
