hes-just-not-that-into-you

Two books turned into movies, He’s Just Not That Into You and Confessions of a Shopaholic, top next week’s pre-Valentine film line-up.

Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Justin Long, and Ginnifer Goodwin star in the movie version of Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo’s bestselling book that tackles relational issues between genders. In the film, a woman confused by the men in her life pursues the advise of a columnist who apparently is on the same dilemma.

Sophie Kinsella’s bestseller “Confessions of a Shopaholic” takes the screen with Isla Fisher playing the lead role as Rebecca Bloomwood. Rebecca is a 25 year old who lives with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter), has a very boring job writing for a financial magazine and a shopping addiction that led to an ever-growing debt. Funny twists and turns happen as Rebecca tried to find ways to pay-off her obligations and cut back on her spending.

There are still more exciting films to watch out for like Australia and Valkyrie. (Hmm…turns out ex-couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s films are about to clash head-on.) I still have to watch Underworld next week and Fireproof movie on DVD that stars Kirk Cameron, the heartthrob from my high school years (hehe).

Currently on top of my read log is “He’s Just Not That Into You”. (I still have to finish Eclipse…ho-hum.) It’s on an e-book format I got somewhere for free. If you want a copy before you see the movie, you can now download it here and the required viewer to open an rgo file extension.
