Bath Lifts

It’s good that something as useful as a bath lift has been out in the market to help our seniors in and out of the bathtub.

This bath lift chair was designed for safe transfers. It’s battery-operated, shock-proof and is supported by 4 suction cups to prevent from sliding. The chair would gently lower the person to the bottom and lift back up to the top. The bath lift’s features allow more comfort and independence to its users. So say goodbye to your sponge bath days.

Go Negosyo

That’s the title of the book and everyone on the publisher’s side has been busy promoting it – book signings, press releases and, yes, an audio van roaming around Ortigas Center playing the book’s jingle.

Go Negosyo is basically a compilation of stories of successful men and women who ventured in different businesses and succeeded. It’s a powerhouse cast from business elites to movie personalities, basically all about people who already have the money to begin with. What I am looking for are small, ordinary and nameless people with rags to riches type of stories to boot. I think if you want to inspire a nation dominated by the lower class, start with stories of people whom they can relate to.

I guess I am looking at the wrong side.

Anyway, whatever inside that book is good. It could still move stones, create jobs and save more people from going hungry. Start with what little you have. Be creative in looking for opportunities – from supplies, food, vehicles, old houses to used Cisco. Save and save. For all you know, it’s harvest time.

It’s Dollar Weak!

The peso has gone way too stronger than the dollar for the past months and has not shown any signs of slowing down. It’s good news to businesses doing importation but poses a dilemma to families relying on OFW remittances, dollar account holders and BPOs among others.

I have almost signed up to a mutual fund program offered by Generali Pilipinas during the time when I asked them for 10 and 20-year life insurance quotes. The fund was in dollar denomination and the potential of earning interest at 20% and up was tempting. It was still P50 per dollar. Now imagine the effect of a weaker dollar to those who have invested their moolah in this financial program. It’s a bit of a nightmare.
