Go Negosyo

That’s the title of the book and everyone on the publisher’s side has been busy promoting it – book signings, press releases and, yes, an audio van roaming around Ortigas Center playing the book’s jingle.

Go Negosyo is basically a compilation of stories of successful men and women who ventured in different businesses and succeeded. It’s a powerhouse cast from business elites to movie personalities, basically all about people who already have the money to begin with. What I am looking for are small, ordinary and nameless people with rags to riches type of stories to boot. I think if you want to inspire a nation dominated by the lower class, start with stories of people whom they can relate to.

I guess I am looking at the wrong side.

Anyway, whatever inside that book is good. It could still move stones, create jobs and save more people from going hungry. Start with what little you have. Be creative in looking for opportunities – from supplies, food, vehicles, old houses to used Cisco. Save and save. For all you know, it’s harvest time.
