This particular creepy but hilarious American Idol audition in Texas made quite a strong impact, not only on judges Simon, Paula and Randy but the rest of the world itself. Renaldo Lapuz, the 44-year-old feather-clad and silver-caped “birdman” from Reno, Nevada, stole the limelight from the Belly Dancer, Willlem Dafoe (the Green Goblin girl), Princess Leia and other eccentric performers with his original composition and sunny outlook in life. He is already a certified You Tube sensation.
And presumably, a budding entrepreneur as well.
Cashing on his American Idol ticket to fame, someone opened a website where Renaldo Lapuz shirts are being sold at $19 and the “We’re Brothers Forever” ringtone can be downloaded for free. Proceeds will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation.
Ha ha ha.
Questions on Lapuz’s ethnicity has never been fully answered. Majority believes this die-hard Simon Cowell fan is a Filipino - taking into account his accent, looks and surname. If he really is, Lapuz is sure to have a lucrative showbiz career waiting for him in the Philippines.

he is a filipino. I am proud of that guy, despite rejection from simon “Saying No” he is still very thankful for the opportunity,unlike others who thrash talk afterwards. you can see it in his face, mabait na tao.. why would i be shameful on that, he has the courage to try and he made it big hit..

he is a filipino, grew up in marikina, lived and was a tricycle driver in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, Philippines. No need to debate, we’re brothers forever. hahaha

Renaldo just sang at my wedding last Friday in Puerto Rico! It was fantastic! It’s crazy how many people from ALL over the world recognize him. Someone did not know he was from American Idol…they asked me if he was the KING of Puerto Rico! hahahah — you can’t make it up!
I can’t wait to see how the people of the Philippines greet him when we return there probably in the summer.
