Hello, I’m In Squidoo!

Travel Light went through another major tweaking session this morning. I took out several programs that are not exactly useful, edited and simplified my categories (it’s a lot better now), deleted links and kept them away in the bin, and finally, I decided to join Squidoo.

Squidoo is a huge community of bloggers. Bloggers or content providers here are referred to as lensmasters. If you have blog/website elsewhere, you can feed it right to your Squidoo via RSS.

The good news about Squidoo is it allows you to earn in many ways.

Sell your own products. If you have an eBay store, you can feature it there.
Promote affiliate products. Amazon is one fine example.
Create traffic to your website. When Squidoo readers check out on your entries (or lens as they call it there), it will direct them to your own website.
Referral program. Refer a friend and both of you are sure to earn an extra $5 when your friend’s income hits $15. If you decide not to sign up through a referral, you forfeit the $5 bonus.

If you’re ready to explore Squidoo, just sign up.

Dubai International Airport

It was in 1960 when Dubai International Airport opened its 1800-meter runway to at least 9 airlines serving 20 destinations. HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the late ruler of Dubai, ordered the construction of the airport 4 kilometers away from the city.

Today, Dubai International Airport has gone from a simple desert airfield to a world-class aviation facility in the Middle East. Over a hundred airlines covering 160 destinations around the world are being accommodated at the airport.

Travelers stopping over Dubai are swamped by tempting offers from relatively cheap gold jewelries to souvenirs. Restaurants, fast food outlets and coffee shops provide visitors hot meals and snacks any time of the day. Wine, cigars, CD’s, electronics, books and other goods are available at Dubai Duty Free.

Dubai International Airport is more than just an aviation hub. For seasoned travelers, it is an oasis connecting two different worlds.
